Marisela Rumberg was the teacher for the 4 1/2 hour Saturday afternoon class yesterday. The hardest thing about taking the class was getting my Janome 8900 out of the carrying case and back in!
We drew some flower petals on white fabric, backed with light stabilizer using Marisela's design. Then with a little instruction we began sewing in the petals one-by-one, following Marisela's instruction. The four hours went by too quickly, but we all had the petals and stem completed before we packed up for the day. If you like the look of Zentangles and you are a quilter, I suggest you give the process a try. It was a lot of fun!
I still have more ink to add, but here is my quilt thus far. It measures about 15" X 17".
I'll add more pictures when it is completed.
Update February 26, 2015
And almost three weeks later it is done. It didn't take me that long to work on it, other necessities of life prohibited me from getting back to it until this week. I think it looks much better now.
