The package arrived from New Jersey earlier this week. Oh my, am I impressed with all of the wonderful ties that Doris sent. I’ve been thinking about what type of art quilt to make from them. You can see how wonderful they all are. I’ve begun dismantling the ties and I have sketched a few ideas in my sketch book. The picture of the ties that are spread out like a fan will be used to make art quilts for Ami Simms Priority Art Quilt Initiative. Decisions, decisions………Let me know if you have any ideas.

I'm a tie quilter, too! I'll be interested to see your project as it progresses.
For now, Nan, I'm just winging it. I'm trying to incorporate what little I know about the owner and her spouse. I love what you have done with your tie projects.
