Baseball Season
Seems like I've been spending a lot of time at the baseball field this season. My grandson plays on two teams and I volunteered to be scorekeeper for both teams, so I have to attend every game. I guess this is what keeps one young....hanging around 10-12 year-olds. I've had fun and am sorry to see the season coming to end. We played our last travel team game yesterday. We split with the other team lost 1, won 1.
We are in the throws of the House league and although our team ended in First place, we lost our first playoff game on Saturday. It will be interesting to see what this week brings.
I sewed on my "power suit" challenge last week and it is coming along nicely. I am using only the fabrics that the coordinators provided....men's suit and shirt samples and a tie to make this art quilt. I'll also use the buttons they provided to embellish it before I'm done.
I'm NOT having so much progress on this year's Hoffman Challenge. It remains on the design wall, but to be honest, I'm not really inspired by what I have so far. Time is running out and I'm not sure I'll have that one completed by the deadline. I need to focus on it and I'll be able to do that when the "power suit" challenge piece is completed. Sorry, no pictures to show for either one.....they will be unveiled after the deadline is met.
