I'm taking an on-line class (quiltuniversity.com) with Lyric Kinard. It's called Playing with Paint. I can't show too much here, but let me tell you if you don't learn about painting fabric in this class, you never will. I spent the past two days in the studio doing just that. I have over 15 samples to add to my project book.
In this short period of time, I've painted wet and dry cotton with wet and dry brushes, I've scrunched fabric, sun-dyed it, stamped it, and monoprinted it. And that is just the first lesson. Can you tell I'm enjoying myself? It's great fun to just let yourself relax and play. Thanks, Lyric, for making this happen.
