Okay, I promise, I'm finished with classes for awhile. It's time I start putting to work what I've learned in all the lessons I've taken this year. But first, here are some samples of items that I 'inked' in class with Cyndi Souder yesterday. Cyndi brought fabric samples for us to 'play' with and get used to using the inks. I'll be looking at black and white fabrics in a whole different way from now on.
Cyndi is a great teacher and she gave us lots of hints on how to apply and use these inks. If you ever get an opportunity to take a class from her, I highly recommend it. Her website is http://www.moonlightingquilts.com/ She and Judy Gula (artisticartifacts.com) have a Power Suit Challenge occurring now. You can read about that at her website, too.
Thanks, Cyndi, for a great class. I can't wait to start applying inks to my art quilts.
I will be using these inks to color one of the patchwork bags I made at the retreat a few weeks ago.

Looks interesting to do and I like the effects. I had never considered using inks. Now, I'll have to check it out (thanks for your teacher's link) and play.
