Dye Day with Judy Gula
I attended a Dye Day with Judy at Artistic Artifacts in Alexandria, Va this past week. It's taken a little time to get these pics taken since it seems it has rained every day since Tuesday. I had a great time dyeing these pieces in canning jars. Most of these pieces are fat quarter or 1/4 yard in size. I plan to use a number of the longer strips in landscape art quilts. I also dyed an embroidered scarf (I think it is a scarf, that I purchased at an estate sale)cotton sateen, and some cotton batting. I have a pattern to make an accessory case for my cell phone somewhere and I remember it required use of a dyed piece of batting.
Not a bad way to spend a Tuesday morning.....Thanks, Judy.

These are stunning Kathy, you must be thrilled. I particularly like the black and grey ones, they will make marvellous brooding stormy backdrops. You always seem to go on the best workshops!
Thanks, Viv. Judy's shop is a wonderful place for expanding artistic endeavors. Of course, it doesn't hurt living in the Wash, DC area where there is so much offered within an hour's drive of home. Thanks for the comment.
