Look What I Found!!!!

I stopped at a local Estate Sale and picked this up for less than $50!!!! It is clean as a whistle and looks like it has never been used.

I took a class a few years back with Nadine Thompson where she showed us how to clean, oil and maintain our Singer Featherweight machines. So I carefully took "Gracie" (I'm calling her that as Grace was the name of the previous owner) out of the almost spotless case and checked her out to be sure she worked and YEAH! She started right up. She was screaming for oil and lubricant and once I did that she purred like a kitten. I took the bottom off expecting to see lots of dirt and grim in the drip pan and nothing...nothing was dirty. The wiring was all in tact and in good shape. She has a nice bright light, User Manual and key for the case. She may need to have what-looks-like-the-original motor belt replaced, but that is it.

Ask anyone who collects these rare babies to see that I made a pretty good deal today. I'm so excited. I went to the singer website to see that this lovely lady was manufactured in 1964. Although a few (?) years younger than me, she is in remarkable shape. Did I say how excited I am. Now I can't to put her to work.
