I'm a little ahead of myself this month. I just finished my second art quilt of the month. This is the kinetic quilt that I began in the class with Linda Cooper last month. When I make another one of these I will make a much smaller one. Working with this size was difficult with the Timtek that was between the layers instead of cotton batting. Timtek could not be creased or it would be permanent. It was tough at times to sew in the machine. But I like the effect these quilts have. I should probably put a few smaller applique balloons in the background to balance it better. What do you think?
Judy, if you're reading this, I decided to use Sew Magic for the gondolas.

This looks superb. I think the idea of sewing the applique balloons in the background would definitely help to balance out the composition and give it more depth. Look forward to seeing it progress!
thanks, Viv. I think so, too. Don't know when I'll get 'round to it. Heading to AQS Lancaster Show on Tuesday and getting entry ready for Sacred Threads exhibit today......very late with this.
