Class in Lancaster

I can't believe I've just gotten around to unpacking from my trip to American Quilt Society Show in Lancaster. I've been home a month and was a little disappointed to see that I had such a small result from an all-day class and a week of gathering supplies. I'll have to find the handouts from the class to see where to go from here. But atleast it is a start.

This piece is only about 10"X12". Simply put, we painted two pieces on prepared canvas; added layers of paint, stamps, and fabric, cut it apart and reassembled it. I like the concept, but not necessarily the results. Maybe that is why it took me so long to unpack it.

But the best part for me about going to Lancaster was being able to meet a cousin I haven't seen in over 20 years. We met for dinner and had a nice time exchanging our childhood memories of visiting our grandparents in Michigan, catching up with where we are now and a little time spent of the time in-between. It was nice to see him again and hope that we can re-unite in the future to finish up our conversation. Thanks, Jack.
