Good News!!

Yeah!!!! My lost camera arrived home yesterday. Thank you, thank you, thank you, Marriott of Hampton, VA for FedExing it to me free of charge. And it was here in two days! Did I say how much I love Marriott???

I discovered I had over 1500 pictures/movies on the SD card in that camera. That would have truly been a loss if I hadn't received it back.

Here is the picture of my Grand Illusion (Bonnie Hunter's winter Mystery Quilt) before it is pin-basted or quilted. It's so big I couldn't get the whole thing in the picture.

Now that that mega-pieced project is pieced, I can move on to the quilting. But not before I work on a more manageable sized art quilt. I'm using a pattern by Ilene Bartos.

I will probably go to my collection of Fall Leaves to make others similar to this. The leaf is fabric that I rusted, the background is a commercial batik and the border is a hand dyed fabric. I use variegated thread to sew the leaf veins.

Now this is what is going on outside my window at this hour.

Sure glad I have no place to go and no place I have to be this afternoon!
