Baby Quilt

In the midst of travel baseball season, taking an on-line class with Dena Crain, knitting socks, and taking my art quilt journey class with Cyndi Sauder, I managed to squeeze in this baby quilt. As you may know, I don't make quilts like this anymore. Thank goodness this came in a kit where the pattern and fabric were included, so I didn't have to buy additional fabric, except for the backing. I purchased a backing that looked like a pirate's map. Sorry, I didn't take a picture of that.  All of the fabric that comes in my house is immediately put in the washing machine. I couldn't do that with this fabric. I was a little worried that the red may bleed. So when I was done, I crossed my fingers and ran it through the washer. I put in one of those Shout Color sheets to help control what bleeding might occur. I was pleased with the results. Almost no color was picked up on the color sheet. Now I'm confident that when the recipient washes this quilt, they won't have any trouble.
