Power Suit Challenge

I'm working on a deadline. Don't you just love deadlines? They force you to complete your project. I made up my mind several years ago that once I start a project, I won't stop until it's done. That is, unless it is absolutely hopeless and I just don't believe on spending time on hopeless projects.

The deadline I'm working toward is the challenge by Judy Gula and Cyndi Souder. They provide you with men's suit and shirt sample fabrics and you make an 18" X 18" Art Quilt with the materials. Oh yes, they also provide a tie and a few buttons. The deadline is August 31. I'm finished with the quilt, and only have the label and artist's statement to write. It feels gooooood to see the finish line in sight.

Sorry, I can't post any pictures until after all the quilts are received. It's still a mystery as to what Cyndi and Judy will be doing with our quilts but I know that I won't get it back for a couple of months after I submit it. I can't wait to see what others have done to meet this challenge.
Here are Cyndi and Judy's websites if you want to read more information about this challenge. It's not too late to participate.

Kathy, that is so wonderful that you finished, I am still in the designing stage. I have not done anything like this before so I don't know what to do or what is expected. So it will be interesting to see how it all turns out.
