As I mentioned in an earlier post, I'm taking an artist toolbox class. There's lots of homework....good homework....I'm learning alot. It's coming at the right time as the recent lesson deals with proportion, depth and space. My head is spinning with all of the things one should consider when planning an art quilt. I never knew all of the tricks that will make my art quilts better.
In addition, I attended a thread lecture yesterday with Liz Kettle ( http://textileevolution.com/ ) . Who knew one could lecture about threads for two hours!!! There's lots for me to learn about art quilts and I'm very thankful that there are so many resources available to the novice art quilter.
Now I need to think about Mid Atlantic Quilt Festival this week. Let me know if anyone reading this is attending on Thursday or Friday. Maybe we can meet and chat over a cup of coffee or wine?
