I made this little tree from a pattern from Jane Sassaman. (And yes, I asked and Jane said it was okay for me to put this picture on my blog.) I'm planning to give it to Andrew's teacher for holiday gift. It was great fun to put together and I like it so much I have to make one for my house. Jane's patterns are beautiful and she has written easy-to-follow directions.
Now on to making the remainder of the teacher's presents...for someone in fifth grade he has 8 specialty teachers....I didn't leave quite enough time to make each one of them a tree, but I think they will be happy with the hand painted snowflake coasters that Andrew made (with a little help from gramma). Pictures will come after the final touches are sewn on.
