2014 Charity Quilt
I meet with four other girls every other Thursday for a sewing bee. I suggested we try making a charm quilt since we had a recent discussion about all the fabric in our stashes. We all agreed it was a good idea and began looking for a template we could all use to cut our fabric. One of us had a house template so we enlarged it a little and made same-size plastic templates for each of us to use (there nothing worse than making a group quilt and the pieces are all different sizes when they are handed in). Most of us hand-sewed the houses together. One found it easier to sew by machine. We each made two rows each consisting of skies and houses. There was a wide variety of colors and textures, but I think it turned out well. I hope the recipient enjoys it.
