HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
Since returning from the workshop in North Carolina earlier this month, I've been trying to knit socks. I haven't knitted in a very long time. My mother taught me to knit and she is no longer around to ask the questions that I need answered. I'll try not to make this too long a post, but I am working with four double pointed size 2 knitting needles. For those who don't knit, that is about the size of one of those wooden food skewers that you might use on your hibachi. And you make one sock at a time. If one used circular knitting needles, I understand you could make two at a time.
You might ask why one would want to knit socks? Well, I purchased some socks about a month ago and they felt so good on my feet. At $20/pair, I'm finding that was less expensive than what I've spent on needles, yarn, and other necessities that make knitting enjoyable(?), not to mention the class I've enrolled in to learn to knit on those circular needles ($$$).
I have some pictures of my progress in my camera that I haven't downloaded yet--I've been too busy knitting, pulling out, knitting, pulling out, pulling out....my yarn is so shredded now I might have to toss into the wool felting stash.
I'll display some pics when I'm happy with the results.
My thoughts and prayers are with those who still don't have power, had to travel in that storm, and who lost family members and pets during that storm called Sandy.
