Hi Marianne,
I received your Christmas card and thanks for that. I didn't write Christmas Cards to everyone this year because about three years ago I trashed my Christmas list index card box with all of the addresses of people I've traded Christmas Cards with ever since I began sending cards. I thought by moving all of the names and addresses to the computer there was no need to keep those cards any longer. Wrong! Big Mistake! Never should have done that! Becuuuuzz last summer my laptop failed. I had backed it up twice--once in April and once in July. But somehow the Christmas list didn't make it to the back up files. I've searched and searched the restored files and can't find it. Soooo, I've been sending cards out once I receive them from people and it has been hard to stay on top of writing those cards everyday. With the exception of yesterday and today's mail, I'm caught up. Marianne, your card arrived yesterday. I promise you'll get my card before New Year's Day.
I love to hear from old friends and relatives at Christmas time. It means we haven't totally lost touch and come to find out we still have lots in common. It's just too bad that lives have gotten busy and stayed busy that we don't take the time to communicate other times during the year. So, thank goodness Christmas comes once a year, giving us a time to catch up.
To anyone else reading this who didn't get a card from me this year, you now know why. It's not that I forgot about you, it's just that I don't know how to find you! So Have a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
