Fractured Quilt, Stage 2
I let a week go by without working on this. It takes a bit of time to cut all the strips, re-sew them, cut into strips and re-sew. Doesn't make sense does it? But that is what quilting is all about. Anyway, I am happy with the results from the fracturing. The instructions for this can be found in "Fabulous Fractures" by Brenda Esslinger. The fabric is Daydreams II by Stephanie Brandenburg exclusively for Camelot Cottons.
I just need to add a border, quilt it up and bind it. I'm heading back to Web Fabrics this week, so hopefully, I can find something that works for this piece.
Whew, now I know why I moved to making art quilts......I didn't enjoy all of that cutting and sewing very much. It's been awhile since I've made something that required that. BUT I am pleased with the results and it was worth it.

I've been toying with trying those fractured quilts... That is pretty! What a great way to highlight a beautiful flower!
