Two Alz Priority Art Quilts

I finished two more Priority Alz Art Quilts that will be donated to Ami Simms effort to find a cure for Alzheimers.

I call this "UP, UP, UP and Away". The balloons were made from the ties that Doris donated to me earlier this year. When I think of her and her husband, Jerry, I marvel at the traveling they did up until he got sick. I'm hoping this piece will lift her spirits as she continues to care for her beloved Jerry.

"Lakeview" is what I call this quilt. It reminds me of the view of the lake behind the house I lived in when I was a teenager. It is all handpainted (yes, I used stencils). The sail on the boat is silk from one of the ties Doris donated to me.

I have a few more of these quilts to make before I send them to Ami Simms.

Your AAQI quilts are lovely uses of fabrics and design. At LibQuilters today, I asked (comment under your photo) how you did the trees in the lake view mini quilt-now I know the answer. I'm glad you posted your photos to share with LibQuilters.

Hi Kathleen, thanks for posting a comment. The stencils I used for the trees are from Stuart Gill. But I guess you already know that.
