We had a great time reminiscing our childhood days and re-discovering how much alike we are considering that we haven't lived under the same roof in 45 years!
We bicycled the Junction and Breakwater Biking and Hiking Trail that lies between the resort towns of Lewes and Rehoboth Beach. It is Delaware's third and longest rail-trail in the state. The trail gets its name from the rail line that ran between Lewes and Rehoboth in the mid-1800s. It is about 6 miles long, but I think Maureen would agree with me that it seemed much longer due to the gusting winds that whipped across the open areas of the trail. The pictures I've posted can't begin to describe the beauty of the natural landscape or the experience of getting close to nature in this beautiful surrounding. I hope you check it out if you're ever in this area. Be sure to go to the NEXT post to see more pictures.
