Earth Day

Well, Earth Day came and went before I knew it. So today, I decided to work around the bath remodelers and finish quilting Doris and Wendy's quilts. They have been patient with me in getting that project done and I should finish the three quilts this weekend. HOORAY!

That led me to my next 'unplanned' late Earth Day project. As I was trimming the edge of the last quilt top, I remembered that I had used up my "inchies" on my previous quilt. So keeping the idea of recycling in mind, I took one of the pieces that Andrew and I made using the shaving cream and ink technique (See my Easter post), and quilted it to the trimmed (already had batting attached) leftovers from my latest project. They say pictures speak louder than words so here they are.....

P.S. There are so many possibilities for these little treasures--they can be further painted, foiled, or beaded......oh, the days just aren't long enough to do what I'd like to do!!!
