A Little of This n That

NOTE: This post was created at the end of September, but due to difficulty with using MS Edge browser, I couldn't post it.

It is not that I haven't been making quilts that I haven't posted much recently. It's been that the quilts I've been working on can't be shown because they might appear in a future book. A book about the 100th anniversary of the National Park Service is due out next Spring, but the unveiling of all of the quilts will be at Houston International Quilt Festival (as noted in my previous post). The other project I'm working on is going up for consideration in a new Fly Me to the Moon book, so I can't reveal any pictures of that either.

I have been knitting away on socks and scarves. The local Needlework shop discontinued their knitting department so some wonderful yarns were marked down 70 and 80%. I have enough yarn now to last me a lifetime. I can only hope my eyes don't give out before I use it all.

In between these projects, my grandson (15 years old)  is continuing to play travel baseball. But that is good since it gives me a chance to work on the knitting while I wait for his practice to be over.  Seems he has experienced quite a growth spurt this year. He is now 5'11" and is catching up to his dad.
