Latest Work

I spent Wednesday in a class with Vikki Pignatelli at Sacred Threads Quilt event. Some quilt teachers know how to quilt well and make beautiful art quilts, but can't teach very effectively. This is NOT the case with Vikki Pignatelli. She presents her information well and didn't feel intimidated and wanted to explore all the information she provided. Her method of teaching finished curves is very easy and had me craving for more. I came home with a small unsewn piece, but with a wealth of new information on how to make my quilts better. I finished sewing it yesterday and here it is.
This is a small piece and will become part of a larger one. I will be spending another two days in class with Vikki this week and she said to bring what we did in class or another piece we are struggling to start or finish. I can't wait to see what comes out of that class. If you ever get the opportunity to take a class with this wonderful woman, I highly recommend that you run, not walk, to register for it.
