The book will be out in August. My entry, "Good Night" was inspired by the song of the same name.
Although I was not familiar with this song, I chose “Good
Night” as the song for my quilt because it was evident after I read the lyrics
and listened to the song that it would provide an interesting challenge for a
quilt. Most of the Beatle songs I was
familiar with were love songs and I thought this song was very different from
the rest. Ringo Starr sings the song (on the White Album) that was written by John Lennon and it was a lullaby that John used to sing to Julian Lennon when he was little. After listening to the song the first time, it about put me to sleep.... It also includes music played by a symphony orchestra....very different from most Beatle songs.
The book and all of the quilts will be on display at the International Quilt Festival in Houston, Texas this Fall!
