July Is Almost Over

Hmmmm, it's been way too long since I last posted. Thank goodness for National Holidays or I may never post anything.

July began with baseball Little League Tournaments. My grandson's baseball team didn't go too far into the playoffs, but it wasn't for lack of practice. Seems when they weren't playing a game, they were playing practice games or just plain practicing. One dad even volunteered to do exercise drills starting at 6:30 a.m. at a local National Park. Surprisingly, more than half the 13-year-old ball team players showed up for that!

I buried myself in the makings of my Beatles Challenge Quilt that is due August 5. The label and hanging sleeve were sewn on Monday and it is DONE! I took it for an appraisal, finished and submitted the paperwork and arranged for insurance for it yesterday. I just have to deliver to organizer on Monday. Whew, I'm glad that is something I can check off my list.

In between time, I accompanied 9 boys and a mom to Sandy Springs Adventure Center for some zip-lining. I'm too old to be doing that kind of thing so was happy to be chauffeur and photographer. Many have already seen my pics on Facebook. The kids had a great time after spending over 4 hours of fun in the great adventure park.

Now I'm headed toward the studio to find a UFO to embellish before my Art Class meets again on August 10. That day will be here before you know it.

The air was cool this morning and boy, it felt gooood. The sun is out, the sky is blue, there is a gentle breeze. Hmmmmm......don't think I can spend the rest of the day inside.

Have a good one and thanks for reading.
