Busy Times Keep Coming

It's been over a week since my last post. I chaperoned my grandson's 6th grade field trip to the Smithsonian for the Math Quest exhibit. The kids got to see how learning all of those math concepts can enable one to design snow boards, rock climbing walls, video games, etc. It was a very informative exhibit.

We went to Baseball tournament in Colonial Heights, Va, over the weekend. Although we lost both games, and got rained out on Sunday, my grandson had an outstanding showing. He pitched four innings in the first game and got a triple with the bases loaded. He played catcher in the 2nd game and had another triple. My brother and his wife dropped by for the 2nd game and then lead a convoy of No. Va. parents to a local restaurant for North Carolina barbeque. Thanks for doing that, Mike and Gracie. We appreciated that. In the meantime, my oldest niece, doggie-sat for us. She said "Doc" finally brought his toy to her before she left Sunday morning. Dogs know when things aren't right and their routine gets interrupted. He'll have to get used to these changes from time to time as there are more tournaments in our future.

Do you think my brother and my son could pass for brothers??? Alot of people think so.

I've been working on the "Arts and Old Lace Challenge" and am almost finished. I'll post some pics of section of it later this week. I can't reveal all of it until the collection's unveiling by Cyndi Souder and Judy Gula on May 31.
