Day Dreaming

Well, the family survived a nasty 24-hour flu last week. It's good to have everyone well and back to work, school and a regular exercise routine.

We've had ice on the ground since it fell Friday night. School activities were cancelled on Saturday so Andrew's basketball game will have to be re-scheduled. Schools were open on time this morning and I'm about to venture out to re-stock the pantry. This time last year, we were still buried in several inches of snow that just didn't want to go away. I'm thankful that those kinds of winters don't occur but once every couple of years. My hat goes off to my relatives in the North who deal with much harsher winters and don't seem to mind it as much as their Southern relatives!

It looks like a good day to sit in front of the fire and read a book or look through vacation catalogs, but instead, it's off to exercise, grocery shop, get some food for the dog, and do laundry. I guess that vacation planning will have to wait!

BTW, the pictures do NOT depict what is outside my window today, but it makes me feel better to think of those things on such a dreary day!
