I've been working on a guild challenge for the past month. As you may know, I took a "Playing with Paint" class with Lyric Kinard at Quilte University recently. I used alot of her painting tips and techniques to make this challenge piece.

Our guild challenge was to use all or part of a 9" square jungle print. After making wonderful stamps in Lyric's class I decided to make a whole cloth art quilt and use the challenge print as the only appliqued piece. I struggled with color and balance, but I am very pleased with the results. I am revealing only a portion of this art quilt as the big reveal is not until mid October.
