In keeping with the New Year's resolution, I finally finished a piece that I began at Artistic Artifacts about a year ago. I attended an Artist in Residence day of fun where we brought our felting machines and played all day. We brought wool, yarns, felt, silk, canvas, wool roving and fabric to play with. Since I have not mastered the art of felting yet, I was rather slow at completing anything. I did felt a pillow top that I'm proud of (it won a 2nd place ribbon at the fair last summer)but I haven't done much felting since then. BUT I did have an unfinished piece that has been on the design wall for a loooonnng time. I took it off the wall and began putting the training I received from Dena Crain (Darned Quilts) to work. I finished "Darned Spiral" last night. WARNING you may need your sunglasses to view this one!
