December is already a week old. While I was in Wilson, NC last month, I visited the Wilson Botanical Gardens. I wasn't expecting to see too much, but I was very surprised to the see the number of flowers still in bloom, the pond not frozen, and the bees still pollinating the flowers. I spent a couple of hours there taking pictures and taking in the beauty of the fall gardens. I'll be posting some pictures in the upcoming months...more as a distraction from what weather forecasters here predict will be a very white winter.
This is a close up of the bud in the picture above
Spending time in this Garden was a great way to start a Baseball Tournament weekend in Rocky Mount. My grandson's team came in second place in the Bronze Division......not bad for a first showing at this tournament.
The JV Stars Travel Team is honoring their injured teammate, BWron (Jersey #4), who couldn't make the trip due to an accident earlier in the week. What a great group of boys, huh?
I told you November was a great month!
