Busy, Busy....

Since my last post, I had a nice visit from my oldest sister, been to the beach, enrolled and completed a Quilt University class with Dena Crain, completed homework for my art quilt class with Cyndi Souder, started a piece for Diane Herbort's  metal art challenge,  made reservations for Columbus Day weekend at Delaware resort, finished knitting a pair of cotton socks, attended four of my grandson's baseball games and took him to numerous practices. So that explains what I've been doing for the last three weeks.

I should be getting back to a routine of posting here more frequently.  Here is a pic of my unfinished piece in my class with Dena Crain.

This is my original design. I thought sewing the curves and corners would be difficult. Taking it slow was the key in getting the curves and corners to lay flat. The construction of this art quilt required me to dig back into my sewing skills and I'm happy I haven't forgotten everything I've learned. Now for some embellishments......paint, beads, thread painting.......and quilting.  Sorry, gotta go now while the creative juices are flowing!
